Scott will provide two days of hands-on instruction - this workshop will benefit the beginner up to the advanced groomer and handler.
Saturday, March 19, 2016: 10am - 5pm
Scott will focus on grooming – scissoring, stripping, and conditioning, and how to make the most of your dog’s strengths.
Sunday, March 20, 2016: 10am - 5pm
Scott will focus on handling – how to show the judge the best qualities of your dog and strategies to succeed in the show ring.
Pricing for Working Students: The cost of the two-day workshop is $200. Grooming Workshop for working students is $130.
Handling Workshop for working students is $130. All workshops must be prepaid to secure your reservation.
Pricing for Observers: The cost of the two-day workshop for Observers is $130. Grooming Workshop for Observers is $65, and Handling Workshop for Observers is $65. All workshops must be prepaid to secure your reservation.
Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel, please let us know asap. Refunds will only be offered if your spot can be filled from waiting list.
How to register: To reserve your spot, sign up and pay online or send a completed registration form along with payment in full. (see attachment in Comments). Current Dog Quest students will be given priority for working spots. We will maintain a wait list up until the day before the seminar.Checks made payable to Dog Quest. You will be notified if you get a spot or are placed on the waiting list.
Facility: Bring your own grooming table, arm, and grooming tools for the Grooming Workshop as well as your own crate. Dogs must be washed and dried prior to the workshop – there will be no bathing on site. Crating space is available. You must bring a mat or floor cover to go underneath your grooming table, crate, and chair to help protect our mats. Chairs will be available or bring your own. Please use designated potty areas and clean up after your dog, inside and outside.
Food: Light breakfast, beverages, and light snacks will be provided. Lunch will be provided, or there are plenty of restaurant options in the area. We will break for lunch for an hour each day.
Videotaping: Only limited videotaping will be permitted. You may also tape your own session ONLY, with your own equipment (but not lecture portions or other peoples’ working sessions, without their permission).
